There are shots that are perfectly exposed, and then there are images that need help. This is one of the latter, though I’m not entirely satisfied with the Lightrooming I did to this one (the leaf doesn’t quite “pop” as I’d like it to). Canon AL-1, 50/1.8 and Kodak TMax 400.

This is what’s called a challenging light situation: strong, hazy morning light coming from above and around the bridge I’m standing beneath. Made more challenging by using Lomography Earl Grey, rather than more dynamic Kodak TMax 100. Definitely will need to revisit this space…

This frame needs a fair amount of massaging in Lightroom to really bring out the contrasting detail (something I didn’t do). But there’s just so much going on graphically in this shot; I love it. The AL-1 and TMax 100 at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa.
