Another view of the HemisFair’s Tower of the Americas…

The Tower of the Americas, hovering over Hemisfair Park in San Antonio. That Kodak TMax 100 sure does love a sunny day.

There are shots that are perfectly exposed, and then there are images that need help. This is one of the latter, though I’m not entirely satisfied with the Lightrooming I did to this one (the leaf doesn’t quite “pop” as I’d like it to). Canon AL-1, 50/1.8 and Kodak TMax 400.

Every so often, I get a shot that just works. This is one of them. Al-1 w. the 50/2.8 macro; Kodak TMax 100.

In and around the Menil Collection with my SX-70 and a pack of expired Impossible Project instant film. Color skews way yellow; sculpture in the left-hand image is cherry red in real life. Sure makes incandescent fixtures look good, though…

New year, new views. Experimenting with the always-iffy Impossible film, this time using 600 b/w w. a red filter in my SX-70 and dialing down the exposure all the way.

Sometimes, you get a good shot even when it’s way too bright out and you’re standing in the middle of the street with cars headed your way. Kodak TMax 400 with the usual AL-1 setup.

This is what’s called a challenging light situation: strong, hazy morning light coming from above and around the bridge I’m standing beneath. Made more challenging by using Lomography Earl Grey, rather than more dynamic Kodak TMax 100. Definitely will need to revisit this space…

Early morning moment caught w the Fuji Instax

Not crazy about Lomography Earl Gray 100; too flat. But with a little Lightroom jolt, it’ll suffice. AL-1, 50/1.8

cliché as it may be… my first experiments with long-exposure photography…plus a way to burn the lomo earl gray 100 film i bought (dislike)…

Pulled the Zeiss Contaflex out of hibernation… Think I need to print this one.

This frame needs a fair amount of massaging in Lightroom to really bring out the contrasting detail (something I didn’t do). But there’s just so much going on graphically in this shot; I love it. The AL-1 and TMax 100 at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa.
